THE FISHER STORY
Fisher Furniture, Inc. has been in business for more than 60 years. Nestled in beautiful Arcadia Valley, Fisher Furniture focuses on high quality service in meeting the needs of its customers. Fisher Furniture is a family owned business with family values.
On June 30, 1973, Don and Patsyie Moses purchased Fisher Furniture from Fred Fisher located at 127 North Main Street in Ironton, Missouri 63650 – in the building that is currently the Ironton City Hall. Fred was retained as Sales Manager until his death in 1979.
Don and Patsyie moved Fisher’s into a new Butler Steel Erection Building in 1980 on the new State Hwy. 21 bypass where it is currently located. Joe Weiss, Don Moses and Patsyie Moses were the only employees for a short time in the 1980s when sales were only $50,000 annually.
The millennium brought Vicki (Moses) Oberle as President coupled with Don Moses, Executive Vice President, and Patsyie Moses, Secretary-Treasurer. We are blessed to have Denny McCarty, George Vance, Silas Cofer, & Markus Morris as competent and loyal employees.
