Fisher Furniture, Inc. has been in business over 60 years. Nestled in the Missouri Ozark Mountains in the beautiful Arcadia Valley, we focus on high quality service in meeting the needs of our customers. We are a family-owned business with family values.   We strive everyday to assist our clients in obtaining the quality of home they desire, meeting their expectations of quality as well as their financial goals.  

 OUR HISTORY

After years at his position as the sales manager, Don Moses, with his wife, Patsyie, purchased Fisher Furniture from Fred Fisher upon his retirement in 1973. In those days, Don would sell a sofa, then close the store while he went on the delivery! The store was located at 127 North Main Street in Ironton, Missouri – the building that now serves as the Ironton City Hall. Fred remained at Fisher's as sales manager until his death in 1979.

Don and Patsyie moved Fisher’s into a new Butler Steel Erection Building in 1980 on the "new" State Hwy. 21 bypass, where it stands today.  Joe Weiss (brother to Patsyie), Don Moses and Patsyie Moses were the only employees for a short time in the 1980s.

In 1991, Fisher Furniture joined the MATAM KEY Buying Group, which is currently Best Brands Plus/Mega Group, located in Germantown, Tennessee. Best Brands gives us the power to compete with big box stores and assists us in the ends and outs of small-business ownership! 

Two great employees were lost over the years.  Ron Gibbs, brother-in-law (Don’s sister’s husband) and Joe Weiss, brother-in-law (Patsyie’s brother) have passed on due to health reasons. They are loved and missed.

The millennium brought Vicki (Moses) Oberle, the middle daughter of Don and Patsyie's three daughters and one son, as President coupled with Don Moses, Executive Vice President, and Patsyie Moses, Secretary-Treasurer.  We are blessed to have Denny McCarty as our Sales Manager, as well as competent and loyal service and delivery personnel.

OUR MISSION IS… to provide the best value in home furnishings and appliances in Southeast Missouri.  We will provide the highest level of service possible to all of our customers.
